Destination Capitol Hill


Simpleview is solely committed to the health, wealth and prosperity of the travel industry, so it is important for us to support and influence the key issues and policies that affect our clients and industry partners.

Destination Capitol Hill is the travel industry's premier legislative fly-in, organized by U.S. Travel. The event will bring travel leaders from across the country to Washington, D.C. to educate policymakers about the power of travel. The program combines a legislative day on Capitol Hill with advocacy training, guest speakers and peer-to-peer networking. Destination Capitol Hill will provide delegates with opportunities to learn about upcoming legislation that impacts travel; mingle with key influencers and travel industry professionals at the networking reception; and meet with members of Congress to stress the importance of travel as an economic driver. Destination Capitol Hill is part of U.S. Travel's Spring Meetings Week.

NCSTD Spring Forum



Held over one and a half days and two nights, the National Council of State Tourism Directors (NCSTD) Spring Forum attracts approximately 35-40 state tourism directors from across the country to discuss state specific issues, meet with colleagues on council-related matters, and engage U.S. Travel Association leadership in dialogue about current and upcoming programs.

Destinations Council



The Destinations Council represents more than 350 U.S. Travel Association destination marketing organization (DMO) and convention and visitors bureau (CVB) members, whose purpose is to enhance the effectiveness of DMO professionals through the annual program of work created by the Destinations Council’s Board of Advisors. The Destinations Council connects DMOs and CVBs and serves as champions who support and assist U.S. Travel in its national grassroots advocacy efforts. Educating, advocating for and engaging members is the primary purpose for the council and the board of advisors meet several times throughout the year to drive the council’s initiatives. Average attendance at meetings is approximately 20-25; meetings are exclusive to Destinations Council Board members.
